An unwanted feature of many modern interiors is increased noise caused by echo and reverberation
The current design of modern spaces is characterized by a high proportion of hard, smooth surfaces of floors, furniture, and walls, from which sound waves are reflected without attenuation. This causes an audible echo and excess noise. The reverberation of the sound of such a room when talking, watching a movie or listening to music is distracting and causes stress in the long term.
That is why interior acoustics are no less important than its design for the quality of living or work.
Using the principle of sound absorption and diffusion, we can significantly improve interior acoustics. Oak Acoustics slat wall panels combine both principles.

Learn how sound is reflected indoors
At a sound speed of 340m/s, in an ordinary room, the sound is reflected several dozen times before it becomes inaudibly weakened. The larger the space with hard large surfaces, the stronger the effect. We already hear a delay of hundredths of a second as unwanted reverberation and it has a significantly disturbing effect.
Examples of rooms with different acoustics:
1. A room without sound absorption and diffusion
The design of this interior can be amazing, the feeling of a long stay due to the disturbing effect of sound "echo" and noise is not so much anymore.
Hard, smooth surfaces of walls and objects cause a lot of sound reflections, which we cannot see but hear as reverberations. It worsens the quality of communication or the experience of movies or music.
2. A room with the installation of an Oak Acoustics slat wall
The interior design is complemented by modern wooden slats with the function of absorbing and diffusing sound without disturbing reverberations.
Significant reduction of the undesirable effect of reverberation. The absorption capacity of the acoustic lamella panels absorbs the reflected sound and the "echo" is significantly limited or non-existent. The sound insulation function is an extra benefit
The absorption capacity of the acoustic slat wall panel absorbs and disperses the reflected sound. The echo is significantly reduced and the space significantly quieter. The soundproofing function between rooms is an added value
